What should I get my mother in law (who just got diagnosed with cancer) for Christmas?

More specifically, she's my mother-in-law-to-be. Anyway, she has already had the surgery that removed her and her chemotherapy starts on December 15th. I've already purchased her a throw blanket because I suspect she'll be spending alot of time in bed... but I was hoping to come up with something that she can occupy her time with while she's stuck in bed. She's not someone who just sits all day. I wish she knit or crocheted... I dunno... any ideas?
