Who could teach me some chemistry?

Ugh chemistry sux for me. I dont understand what or why there are negative and positive charges and if they are negative its ionic and if positive its covalent. like i said it doesnt make sence to me at all. right now we r studying solutions and the subject at hand is acid and base and i understand they are compounds that have to be disolved in water, but the acid produces a positive hydrogen and the base produces a negative i guess i dont understand! can anyone suggest anything for me as to what i should do. i would ask the teacher but its college and that guy leaves right after cl and is mia for the rest of the day...anyway please help !
